Vorab sei gesagt, ich war etwas skeptisch als ich das Päckchen mit dem neuen iPod Shuffle in den Händen hielt. Ich hatte schon genug kritische Punkte von Freunden gehört um an meiner Entscheidung zu zweifeln. Aber die Sorgen waren unbegründet.

Der neue iPod Shuffle besticht durch sein kleines, handliches Design. Mittels eines Clips kann er problemlos an Taschen, Jacken, Hemden etc. befestigt werden kann ohne dabei zu stören. Dabei fällt insbesondere das Gewicht auf. Mit seinen 15g ist der iPod so leicht, dass er kaum auffällt. Ebenfalls positiv zu bewerten ist das Aluminiumgehäuse; Fingerabdrücke oder Kratzer treten bei normalen Gebrauch kaum auf.

Die Bedienung stützt sich auf die Grundfunktionen: das kreisförmige Bedienfeld, zwei Regler (An-/Ausschalten, Shuffle Modus) sowie einen Anschluss sowohl für die Kopfhörer als auch für die Docking Station.

Die vorhandenen 1GB Speicherplatz reichen für ca. 240 Songs. Dieser Platz reicht für alle aus, die den iPod lediglich zum Abspielen der Lieblingstitel für "zwischendurch" benötigen.

Ebenfalls überzeugend ist die gute Klangqualität. Im Vergleich zu anderen MP3 Playern ist der Ton klar und deutlich.

Trotz aller Begeisterung, es gibt (für mich) zwei negative Punkt.

Das Bedienfeld ist aufgrund der geringen Größe des iPod nicht sehr großzügig, dasselbe gilt für die vorhanden Regler (Ein-/Ausschalten und Shuffle Modus). Das mitgelieferte Handbuch ist relativ knapp gehalten, manch iPod Neuling dürften die Informationen nicht ausreichen (in dem Fall hilft nur der Blick ins Internet).

Trotz der genannten Kritikpunkte, ist der neue iPod Shuffle für mich die perfekte Wahl gewesen. Ein kleiner und handlicher MP3 Player mit guter Klangqualität und überzeugendem Design.

Punktabzug gibt es nur bei der eigentlich nicht vorhandenen Gebrauchsanweisung (auf Englisch und nur mit Bildern). Benutzen tut man ihn "intuitiv" jedoch wäre für das erste mal das man ihn bespielt doch eine Anleitung schön gewesen.
